Hi, I'm Sara!
A little bit about me...
I am originally from the Midwest and have lived in a few different cities and states before settling in Austin, Texas. I've worn a lot of different hats in my life: wife, mom, daughter, granddaughter, sister, friend, employee, ally, volunteer, cheerleader, and advocate. None of these roles are more important than that of a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, which allows me to work with great folks that need help finding balance and increasing the peace in their lives. I love what I do and I'm thankful for the opportunity to make a positive difference in people's lives.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked in the corporate world for about 20 years in several different industries including finance and pharmaceuticals. I decided at midlife that I wanted to make a different kind of difference in peoples' lives so I got my Masters in Social Work from Texas State University. Since that time I've worked in a hospital setting, outpatient programs, substance use recovery, and private practice. I have undergone specific training in EMDR and grief processing. I love walking with people along this journey to improved mental health and better overall balance in life.
When I'm not busy as a therapist, I enjoy spending time with my family of humans and pets. I like to read, swim, walk my dogs, work on craft projects, and watch tv shows and movies that make me laugh.
